We are delighted to announce that Mr Saul Beavis will be joining us as full time lead sports teacher from September 2021. Mr Beavis is an ex-professional rugby player with a seven year elite career who went on to train as a teacher. He worked for an independent boarding school in Oxfordshire developing their sport and building up their competitive fixtures. As well as rugby, his coaching experience includes athletics, netball, football, basketball, badminton, hockey and gym. We look forward to Mr Beavis’s arrival in September and being able to restart competitive sport once Covid restrictions have been lifted.

After school returned in March, Year 7 enjoyed being coached by professional rugby player Mark Bright. Mark, originally from New Zealand, was a member of the England Sevens team at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow where he helped them achieve victory over Wales in the Plate Final. He currently plays for London Scottish in the RFU Championship. He was inducted into the London Scottish Hall of Fame in 2016 and in the 2016/17 season was the Rugby Players Association Championship Player of the Year.
