British screenwriter, film producer and director Stuart Hazeldine spoke at a recent assembly.  He is best known for his 2009 psychological thriller Exam, for which he was nominated for a BAFTA Award for Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director or Producer. He also directed the 2017 film adaptation of William P Young’s novel The Shack. Stuart spoke to us about his love of storytelling and creative writing which he developed at a young age, and how that inspired him to look for a career in the film industry. He talked about the films he had worked on and what it takes to have a successful career in the film industry. His inspirational address was a great way to start the day.
